GENERAL REFERENCES
Games of chance — See Ch. 128.
Upon procuring a proper license as hereinafter provided, it shall be proper and lawful for any authorized organization, as defined in § 476 of the General Municipal Law, to conduct the game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Schodack, Rensselaer County, New York, subject to the restrictions of § 479 and the other provisions of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law and Article 19-B of the Executive Law, and subject further to the following restrictions and provisions:
A. 
A license shall be issued by the Town Clerk, pursuant to the provisions of § 30, Subdivision 7, of the Town Law, only after a written application in the form prescribed in the rules and regulations of the State Racing and Wagering Board has been duly filed, as provided in § 480 of the General Municipal Law, and only after an investigation by the Town Board, as provided in § 481 of the General Municipal Law.
B. 
No game of bingo shall be permitted to continue past 12:00 midnight of the day on which such game was commenced.
C. 
The conduct of bingo is hereby authorized on the first day of the week, commonly known and designated as "Sunday," subject, however, to the provisions of this chapter and further provided that no such game of bingo shall be commenced before 2:00 p.m. of such day.

In the event that the State Racing and Wagering Board shall promulgate rules and regulations which shall be inconsistent with or contrary to the provisions of § 85A, B or C, as set forth above, then the provisions of said Subsections A, B and C, or any of them, shall be deemed to be superseded or amended by such rules and regulations to the extent necessary to give effect to the latter.

This chapter shall become operative or effective only after it shall have been approved by a majority of electors of the town voting at a general or special election.[1]
