The Town of Schodack public transfer/recycling station disposal area shall be for disposition of refused generated within the Town of Schodack.
Refuse shall be limited to residential wastes. No commercial, industrial or construction materials shall be permitted.
A. 
The Schodack transfer/recycling station area shall be open for disposal as follows:
(1) 
Monday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
(2) 
Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
(3) 
Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
(4) 
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
B. 
It shall be closed all day Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and holidays as posted.
A. 
The fees for residential use of the Town of Schodack transfer/recycling station are as follows:
(1) 
Resident's five-month permit: $70. (subject to change).
(a) 
Senior citizens, 10% discount: $63. [senior citizen discount for persons 65 years or older].
(2) 
Residents without permit: $10 for each load.
(3) 
Metal goods (stoves, washers, freezers, dryers, refrigerators, water tanks and furnaces): $10 each.
(4) 
Tires: $2 each.
B. 
Two forms of identification must be rendered as proof of residency in order to purchase a residential permit and/or utilize the facility on a per-trip basis. Upon application and payment of fees, a permit sticker will be issued as follows:
(1) 
First vehicle: $70.
(a) 
Senior: $63.
(2) 
Second vehicle: no charge.
(3) 
Replacement stickers: $2.
C. 
Only two permit stickers per household shall be allowed.
Landfill stickers are to be permanently affixed and prominently displayed on the left front bumper of the vehicle, such as to be plainly visible to anyone standing 10 feet in front of the vehicle.
Materials permitted at the Town of Schodack transfer/recycling station are as follows:
A. 
Five thirty-two-gallon containers or bags of normally generated household refuse per day.
B. 
Recyclables, at no charge:
(1) 
Newspapers.
(2) 
Tin cans.
(3) 
Glass bottles/jars, color-separated.
(4) 
Plastic bottles.
(5) 
Used oil.
(6) 
Batteries.
C. 
Brush and logs less than six inches in diameter.
D. 
Metal and appliances.
Materials prohibited at the Town of Schodack transfer/recycling station are as follows:
A. 
Industrial waste.
B. 
Infectious waste.
C. 
Sludge.
D. 
Hazardous waste.
E. 
Construction and demolition materials.
F. 
Trees and tree stumps.
G. 
Gas, oil and propane tanks.
H. 
Bulky furniture, i.e., sofas, stuffed chairs, mattresses, etc.
Any violation of these rules and regulations shall void tipping privileges.
These rules and regulations, as hereby amended, shall take effect on August 1, 1990.
