The Tarrytown Board of Trustees hereby finds and declares that it is desirable to designate persons who, in the absence of the Mayor, may have the authority to request police mutual aid from or grant police mutual aid to other municipalities pursuant to the Mutual Aid and Assistance Plan.
A. 
In the absence or unavailability of the Mayor, the authority granted to the Mayor by § 209-m of the General Municipal Law to request or grant police mutual aid shall be delegated to the Deputy Mayor. In the absence or unavailability of the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor, such authority shall be delegated to either the Village Administrator or the Chief of Police.
B. 
This article is not intended to alter the provisions of the existing separate mutual aid agreements with the Villages of North Tarrytown and Irvington.
