The locations set forth in Schedule XXIV (§ 291-89) are hereby designated snow zones, and no person shall park any vehicle or permit any vehicle to remain parked in any of said places during a Village-declared snow emergency or while the Village is engaged in removing snow from such places.
The Superintendent of Public Works shall determine
when a snowfall or snow removal operations require the foregoing parking
prohibition to be put into effect in any or all snow zones. In the
absence of the Superintendent of Public Works, the determination shall
be made by the General Foreman. In the absence of both the Superintendent
of Public Works and the General Foreman, the determination shall be
made by either the Village Administrator or the Chief of Police.
During the period of a snow emergency, alternate
side of the street parking restrictions shall be suspended for streets
that have both snow zones and alternate side of the street parking
restrictions. This suspension shall terminate upon the lifting of
the snow emergency or four hours after the end of the snowfall, whichever
is later.
