For the purpose of interpreting and applying
the terms of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Any off-street parking lot or field owned or leased by the
Village for the parking of motor vehicles by the public.

A space in a municipal parking field marked or indicated
by lines appearing on the pavement, within which a single motor vehicle
is to be parked.
The operator of a motor vehicle shall only use
the respective entrance and exit passageways indicated by signs for
the respective purposes of entering into and leaving from a municipal
parking field.
A.
In any municipal parking field in which parking stalls
are not marked out or indicated, all motor vehicles shall be parked
with respect to any indicated line of parking as is designated on
any sign therein. Each vehicle shall be parked so that there shall
be space of at least two feet and not more than three feet from any
other vehicle already parked. No vehicle shall extend from the said
indicated lines of parking a greater distance than its length requires.
B.
In any municipal parking field in which parking stalls
are marked out or indicated, motor vehicles shall be parked within
and parallel to the side lines of any such stall and shall not extend
from the front line of such stall a greater distance that its length
requires.

A.
No motor vehicle shall be parked in any space designated by a sign
as a no-parking area.
B.
Only electrically powered vehicles may be parked in areas designated
by a sign for a maximum of 24 hours. Electrically powered vehicles
must be actively charging while parked.
C.
Only motorcycles
and scooters shall park in any space designated by a sign as motorcycle
and scooter parking.
A.
General rules. No passenger vehicle shall be parked
in a municipal parking field for more than 24 consecutive hours. Specific
provision may be made for parking for less time by resolution of the
Board of Trustees, in which case the limitations shall be clearly
marked on the signs erected under the supervision of the Police Department,
and any parking beyond the length of time thus specified shall constitute
a violation of this chapter.
B.
Limitations of commercial vehicles.
(1)
No motor truck or other type of commercial vehicle
shall be parked upon any municipal parking field between the hours
of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
(2)
No motor truck or commercial truck weighing more than
two tons gross shall be permitted to park on any municipal parking
field at any time.
(3)
No commercial vehicle of more than 20 feet gross length
or more than eight feet in width shall be permitted to park on any
municipal parking field at any time.

A.
Municipal
parking fields shall be used for parking of unattended vehicles only
and there shall be no gatherings, congregating, barbecuing, tailgating
or other similar use, inside or outside of a vehicle, in any municipal
parking fields unless a special events permit has been issued or is
an event sponsored by the Village of Tarrytown.
B.
No repair
work on any motor vehicle except emergency repairs shall be done or
performed in any municipal parking field.
