GENERAL REFERENCES
Park and Recreation Commission — See Ch. 17.
The following terms, whenever used in this chapter, shall have the meanings indicated in this section, except where the context indicates a different meaning:
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
An intoxicating liquid containing alcohol.
MOTORIZED VEHICLES
Any vehicle equipped with a motor providing said vehicle with power to place said vehicle in motion, including but not limited to trucks, automobiles, motorcycles, trail bikes, go-carts, motor scooters and snowmobiles, and excluding any vehicle properly authorized to be on park or recreational grounds for purposes of maintaining the same.
PARK
Any recreational ground or playground owned and operated by the township or a charitable organization for the use of the public, without charge, for public entertainment, amusement or recreational purposes.
PERSON
Any natural person, corporation, partnership or association.
No person shall operate a motorized vehicle on any park, playground or recreational ground in the township unless otherwise authorized by a proper representative of the Hempfield Township Parks and Recreation Commission or the Supervisors of Hempfield Township.
No alcoholic beverages shall be permitted on the grounds of parks, playgrounds or recreational grounds located within the township.
All parks, playgrounds or recreational grounds within the township shall be closed to the public between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. No persons shall be lawfully upon the grounds of any park, playground or recreational grounds within the township between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. unless their presence on subject ground between said hours has been specifically authorized by the Supervisors of Hempfield Township or the Hempfield Township Parks and Recreation Commission.
The rules and regulations set forth in §§ 61-2, 61-3 and 61-4, inclusively, of this chapter shall be posted at conspicuous places in such parks, playgrounds or recreational grounds.

Any person found by the District Justice to have violated any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a civil fine of $25, plus all court costs and reasonable attorney's fees incurred by Hempfield Township in the enforcement of this chapter in a civil enforcement proceeding.
