The affairs, matters and business of the Council
at their regular monthly meetings, special meetings, and other meetings
or hearings shall be taken up, in the Mayor's discretion, either in
the order and manner established by resolution of the Council or by
the agenda as prepared by the Town Clerk.
A.Â
The office of Vice Mayor of the Town Council is established.
B.Â
The person selected and appointed to fill the office
of Vice Mayor shall be chosen by the Mayor from among the members
of the Council. Such person shall be neither the Mayor of the Council
nor the Secretary thereof.
C.Â
Throughout such periods of time as the Mayor shall
be unable to act in the capacity for reason of illness, unavailability
or any other cause, and throughout such periods of time as the office
of Mayor shall be vacant for any reason whatsoever, the person chosen
and appointed as the Vice Mayor shall exercise all the powers and
authorities of the Mayor.
