[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Liberty as indicated in article histories. Amendments noted where applicable.]
[Adopted 9-8-1999 by L.L. No. 6-1999]
The Village Board believes that reducing the required time for notice of a public hearing for the adoption of a local law to three days will help permit the Village Board to react quicker to unforeseen circumstances and to adopt local laws in a more efficient manner than the present requirement of five days. Accordingly, the Village Board desires to decrease the period of time required for notice of a public hearing on the adoption of a local law from five days to three days, as permitted by Municipal Home Rule Law § 20, Subdivision 5.
A public hearing held before the Village Board of the Village of Liberty for the adoption of a local law shall be on notice of at least three days.
