The Board of Commissioners of the Township of Radnor, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, constituting the Municipal Authority of the said Township as defined in the Act of the Assembly known as the "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945" (the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented),[1] hereby signifies its intention to join with the Boards of Commissioners of the Township of Haverford and the Township of Marple, both of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, to organize an Authority under the provisions of said Act.

The name of the proposed Authority is the "Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority."
In pursuance of said intention, the Articles of Incorporation of said Authority are hereby approved and adopted in the following form:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
RADNOR-HAVERFORD-MARPLE
SEWER AUTHORITY
TO THE SECRETARY OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA:
In compliance with the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 (the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented),[1] the Townships of Radnor, Haverford and Marple, all of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, pursuant to ordinances duly enacted by the respective Boards of Commissioners of said Townships authorizing and directing the formation of an Authority jointly by said municipalities under said Act, DO HEREBY CERTIFY:
(a)
The name of the Authority shall be "Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority."
(b)
The said Authority is formed under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945. Said Authority shall be organized for all of the purposes set forth in said Act and shall have all of the powers granted in said Act.
(c)
No other Authority has been organized under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 or under the Act approved June 28, 1935, P.L. 463, and is in existence in or for the incorporating municipalities, except:

The names of the incorporating municipalities are the Township of Radnor, the Township of Haverford and the Township of Marple, all of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The names, titles and addresses of the municipal authorities (as defined in the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945) of the incorporating municipalities are as follows.[2]
(e)
The names, addresses and terms of office of the first members of the Board of said Authority, each being a citizen of the respective incorporating municipality by whom such member was appointed, and the name of the incorporating municipality appointing the respective members are as follows:[3]
The terms of office of the first members of the Board of said Authority shall commence on the date of appointment and shall be computed from the first day of January 1968.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Township of Radnor, the Township of Haverford and the Township of Marple, all of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, have caused these Articles of
Incorporation to be duly executed on behalf of said municipalities by the respective proper officers thereunto duly authorized and under their respective municipal seals this .......... day of ...................., 1967.[4]

The first members of the Board of Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority named in the aforesaid Articles of Incorporation as having been appointed by this incorporating municipality are hereby specifically appointed members of said Board for the terms of office set after their respective names, which terms shall commence on the date of appointment and shall be computed from the first day of January 1968.
Each member of the Board of Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority appointed by the Township of Radnor shall receive as compensation $600 per calendar year, or a proportionate amount thereof for any period less than a full calendar year. For purposes of this section, the pay period shall be computed from the actual date of appointment to the Board.
Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority shall be organized for all purposes set forth in the Municipal Authorities Act of 1945 and shall have all of the powers granted in said Act.
The first project to be undertaken by the Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority shall be to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain and operate, own or lease, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof, sewage treatment works, including works for treating and disposing of industrial wastes, in and for the incorporating municipalities and for such other territory as it may be authorized to serve; and said Authority shall not undertake any other project or projects unless specifically authorized so to do by ordinances duly enacted by the incorporating municipalities.
The proper officers of the Township of Radnor are hereby authorized and directed to join with the proper officers of the Township of Haverford and the Township of Marple, both of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, to execute said Articles of Incorporation and to file said Articles of Incorporation, together with a certified copy of this chapter and required proof of publication, with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and to do, execute and perform any and all acts and things necessary or appropriate to effect and establish said Radnor-Haverford-Marple Sewer Authority.
