Tap fees shall be as set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, of this Code. Tap fees include the corporation and either 90° or 45° bend plus any additional equipment and labor. Fees will be added to the next quarterly bill to the customer.
Fees for meter tests requested by the owner will be added to next quarterly bill and shall be as set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, of this Code.
All charges for missing, frozen or damaged meters will be added to the next quarterly bill sent to the owner and shall include labor during regular working hours and shall be as set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, of this Code.
The charge for a closing reading at customer request, when selling or buying property shall be added to next quarterly bill and shall be as set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, of this Code.
A.
Rates. The charges as set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, of this Code shall apply for water services.
B.
Surcharge. A surcharge shall be added to the above charges for water
services in the amount of 14%. This extra charge is made for the purpose
of financing the cost of obtaining water from the New York City Aqueduct.
Such surcharge shall be effective on October 1, 1981, and shall continue
to be made in every quarterly billing period in which any water is
taken from the aqueduct tap. There shall be no prorating of the surcharge
during a quarter.
C.
Water facility unit charge. The sum of all units derived in the manner set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, shall be divided into the annual cost of debt service to determine the water facility unit charge. The owner of each property in the City shall pay a water facility unit charge equal to the number of units assigned to that property multiplied by the water facility unit charge. The minimum water facility unit charge shall be as set forth in Chapter 163, Fees, of this Code.
