Editor's Note: This ordinance was enacted by the Board of Trustees pursuant to the authority conferred by the Village Law in Chapter 719 of the Laws of 1926 and Chapter 60 of the Laws of 1929.
There is hereby adopted as the Official Map of the village a map entitled "Official Map, Village of Port Chester, Westchester County, New York," signed by the Village President and Village Clerk and dated December 1, 1930.
The existing Planning Commission is hereby established as the Planning Board of the village and as such is authorized and empowered to recommend, from time to time, changes in the Official Map, and to prepare and present to the Board of Trustees plans and recommendations for the development of the village.
The Planning Board is authorized and empowered to prepare, adopt and present to the Board of Trustees rules and standards for the subdivision and platting of land within the village;[1] and after the approval thereof by the Board of Trustees, with or without modification, no land shall be subdivided or platted excepting in conformity therewith.

All plats pertaining to land subdivision shall be submitted in the first instance to the Planning Board and after being approved by that Board, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees, shall be submitted to the Board of Trustees for final approval before being filed with the County Register.
The Planning Board is hereby authorized and empowered to review and pass on all offered subdivision plats and to disapprove any such as do not accord with the Official Map and the rules and standards, and to approve, as presented or as modified, such plats as in its judgment accord with said Official Map and rules and standards and any other pertinent rules or ordinances adopted by the Board of Trustees.
The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the County Register a certified copy of this chapter and a copy of the Official Map.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon completion of publication thereof, as required by statute, and the Village Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to cause such publication to be made in the Port Chester Daily Item.
