This chapter shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Village of Port Chester, New York."
The following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION
An authorized organization as defined in Subdivision 4 of § 186 of the General Municipal Law.
GAMES OF CHANCE
A game of chance as defined in Subdivision 3 of § 186 of the General Municipal Law.
VILLAGE
The Village of Port Chester, New York.
An authorized organization may, upon the obtainment of a license from the Clerk of the Village of Port Chester, New York, conduct games of chance within the village as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and as provided further in this chapter. Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance with the general state law and with rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
Restrictions shall be as set forth in Article 9-A, § 189, of the General Municipal Law and, in addition, those restrictions set by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Chester, from time to time, by resolution.
Games of chance on the first day of the week, commonly known as Sunday, may be conducted pursuant to this chapter and the appropriate statute.
The chief law enforcement officer of the Village of Port Chester, the Chief of Police, shall exercise control over and supervision of all games of chance conducted under an appropriately issued license. Such officer shall have all the power and duties set forth in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
