[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Washington North by Ord. No. VI. Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person shall fire or discharge any gun, rifle, pistol, revolver or other firearm in the Incorporated Village of Port Washington North, nor shall any person use or discharge any rocket or aerial salute, firecracker, aerial bomb, shell or balloon which is operated by a lighted substance.

Editor's Note: Sections 1 and 2 of Ord. No. VI, which immediately preceded this section, were repealed at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I).
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to prohibit the discharge or firing by any person of any firearm lawfully carried or possessed by such person in the lawful defense of his property or person or the person of another and law enforcement officers in the discharge of their official duties.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine not to exceed $250 and/or 15 days' imprisonment for each and every offense.
