[The personnel policies for officers and employees of the Village of Greenport shall be as set forth in the current policies adopted by motion 1-26-1954, as amended, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Village Clerk for examination and inspection by the public. Said provisions include: vacations, holidays, sick leave, absences, compensation and benefits.]

Editor's Note: On 7-12-1954, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Greenport adopted the following resolution:
"Whereas, Chapter 734 of the Laws of 1954 amended Section 43 of the Village Law so that, effective July 1, 1954, the Board of Trustees of a village may adopt a resolution, subject to a permissive referendum, providing that the term of office of the Mayor and/or Trustees shall be four (4) years, and
"Whereas, this Board is of the opinion that to provide for four-year terms of office for both the Mayor and Trustees would be beneficial to the village,
"Now, therefore, be it
"Resolved that the term of office of the Mayor and Trustees shall hereafter be for four (4) years."
