Off-street parking and loading shall be provided as specified in this article and shall be paved or graveled, drained, maintained and provided with necessary access driveways. All such parking space shall be considered to be required space on the lot on which it is located, unless otherwise stated, and shall not therefore be encroached upon in any manner by nonparking activities.

All land use activities permitted by this chapter, including variances and special permits, shall provide at least the amount of off-street parking space specified in the following schedule:

Motels, morning and tourist houses
1.25 per guest room, plus 10 per 1,000 square feet of restaurant/lounge, and 1 for each employee
Public or private parks and playgrounds
1 for each 5,000 square feet of open space area or major fraction thereof up to 10 spaces and thereafter 1 for each 10,000 square feet or major fraction thereof
Commercial recreation facilities
1 for each 200 square feet of space enclosed for indoor facilities, plus ample space to accommodate the expected parking requirements of any outdoor facility
Restaurants, clubs or similar uses
15 for each 1,000 square feet of gross floor area
Small retail uses of convenience goods or personal services
3.5 for each 1,000 square feet of gross floor area
Shopping centers or shopping plazas where concentrations or retail stores are located
4 per 1,000 square feet of gross leasable area
Professional offices, studios and banks
1 for each 200 square feet of gross floor area, plus 1 for each employee
Research offices and laboratories
1 for each 200 square feet of gross floor area
Home occupations
In addition to dwelling unit requirements, 1 for each 100 square feet of floor area devoted to such home occupation
Manufacturing activities
1.5 per 1,000 square feet of gross floor area
Theaters
0.4 per seat
Bowling alleys
5 for each alley
All service uses, such as printing, welding, pluming and similar shops
1 for each 500 square feet of floor area devoted to such activity
Mobile home parks
1.5 for each mobile home lot
