Sound level meters:
(1)Â
Measurements of continuous sounds shall be made either with a
Type 1 (Precision) or a Type 2 (General Purpose) sound level meter manufactured
to the requirements of ANSI specifications for sound level meters.
(2)Â
Equipment shall be maintained according to manufacturers'
standards and calibrated annually or upon reasonable suspicion that the sound
level meter is malfunctioning.
