No theatrical or operatic performance or motion-picture show or exhibit
shall be given within the Borough except in a theater or opera house duly
licensed for that purpose; except, however, that this chapter shall not apply
to performances or exhibitions given by civic, religious or scholastic organizations
operating not for pecuniary profit.
The Borough Clerk is hereby authorized to issue such license upon the
payment by the applicant of the proper fee therefor as hereinafter provided.
Such license shall remain in force and be valid for the calendar year
in which applied for and shall apply only to the person, persons or corporations
to whom granted and shall not be transferable.

The license fee for one year for any theater, opera house or motion-picture
house or establishment shall be $25.
