There is hereby created the Office of the Tax Assessor for the Borough of Riverdale.
Said office shall consist of one Assessor of Taxes to appraise and value property in the Borough of Riverdale and perform all the duties imposed by law upon an Assessor in a borough.
Said Assessor shall be appointed for a term of four years commencing on the first day of July next following the appointment.
Said Assessor shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the consent of the Council.

There is hereby established the position of Clerk to the Assessor.
Said Clerk shall perform such duties as directed by the Assessor.
Said Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. The term of appointment shall be one year.
Salary shall be fixed from time to time by the Mayor and Council.[1]
