[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Riverdale 7-24-2006 by Ord. No. 14-2006. Amendments noted where applicable.]
A. 
A Riverdale Alliance Committee is hereby created in the Borough of Riverdale and shall consist of eight persons, residents or employees of Riverdale, to be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council.
B. 
Terms.
(1) 
The initial terms for said members shall be as follows:

(2) 
After the initial appointments, all future appointments shall be for terms of five years.
The powers and duties vested in the Committee shall include:
A. 
To serve as a resource body for planning, developing and coordinating the implementation of programs focused on the problems experienced by our youth.
B. 
Conduct research, gather information and disseminate results and/or findings.
C. 
To serve as a liaison to governmental bodies and agencies.
D. 
To make such recommendations as may be necessary to assist in the elimination of youth problems within the municipality.
E. 
The Committee will act in a merely advisory capacity and shall not have the power to bind the municipality in any manner.
F. 
Apply for and accept grants.
A Chairman, Vice Chairman, Coalition Coordinator and Secretary of the Committee shall be elected by the members of the Committee at an annual meeting during January of each year.
The Secretary of the Committee shall submit annual reports in writing to the Borough Clerk on or before October 1 of each year.
The members of the Committee shall serve without compensation.
