Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:49-5.1, the New Jersey State Housing Code, as currently approved by the Department of Community Affairs and filed in the office of the Secretary of State, is hereby accepted, adopted and established in the Borough of Riverdale.
Three copies of the New Jersey Housing Code have been placed on file in the office of the Clerk and shall remain on file there for the use and examination of the public.
Enforcement of this Code shall be the responsibility of the Zoning Officer or another appropriate Borough employee so designated by the Mayor and Council.
A. 
Maximum penalty. For a violation of any provision of this chapter, the maximum penalty shall, upon conviction thereof, be a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment not to exceed 90 days, or both, at the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
B. 
Separate violations. Except as otherwise provided, each and every day in which a violation of any provision of this chapter exists, shall constitute a separate violation.
