The administration and interpretation of this chapter shall be done by those public officials and public bodies as provided in the Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.).
The categories of zoning permits which are obtained from the Zoning Officer shall be as follows:
A. 
Minor residential alterations. Alterations to single-family residential dwellings which do not result in any zoning bulk violation and which do not alter the footprint of the existing principal building; includes but is not limited to pools, fences, decks, sheds, garages, etc.
B. 
Residential alterations. Alterations to single-family residential dwellings which change, enlarge or alter the existing building footprint which do not result in any zoning bulk violation.
C. 
Alterations to nonresidential structures. Alterations to nonresidential structures which change, enlarge or alter the existing building footprint once Planning Board approval has been obtained.
D. 
New single/two-family construction. Construction of a new single/two-family residential dwelling.
E. 
Minor alterations to nonresidential structures. Interior alterations to nonresidential structures which do not result in any zoning bulk violation, which do not alter the footprint of the building and which do not increase the intensification of the use of the structure.
F. 
Zoning permit modification. Any modification of construction permits caused by changes to construction plans or construction field changes which necessitate reevaluation of the project by the Zoning Officer.
G. 
Certificate of nonconformity. Any nonconforming use or structure existing at the time of passage of an ordinance may be continued upon the lot or in the structure so occupied, and any such structure may be restored or repaired in the event of partial destruction thereof. A certificate of nonconformity is not required for continued use of a lot or structure rendered as nonconforming from the adoption of said ordinance. However, interested persons such as prospective purchasers, prospective mortgagees, etc., may apply to the Zoning Officer within one year of the adoption of the ordinance for the issuance of a certificate certifying that the use or structure was rendered as nonconforming from the adoption of said ordinance. Applications made beyond one year of adoption of the ordinance shall be submitted to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The certificate of nonconformity complies with N.J.S.A. 40:55D-68.
The fee for zoning permits shall be as follows:
A. 
Minor residential alteration.
(1) 
Sheds under 200 square feet, fences six feet in height or less and driveways: $10.
(2) 
A/C condensers, standby generators, driveways: $10.
(3) 
All other minor residential alterations: $25.
B. 
Residential alterations: $35.
C. 
New single/two-family dwelling construction: $50.
D. 
Minor alterations to nonresidential structures: $50.
E. 
Alterations to nonresidential structures: $75.
F. 
New nonresidential structure construction: $100.
G. 
Zoning permit modification: 50% of initial permit fee.
H. 
Change of occupancy.
(1) 
Residential: $100.
(2) 
Commercial: $100.
(3) 
Industrial: $150.
(4) 
Apartment: $75.
I. 
Certificate of nonconformity.
(1) 
Zoning Officer issued: $100.
(2) 
Zoning Board of Adjustment issued: $200.
