Each recognized Fire Company in the City of
Somers Point shall receive from the city the sum of $10,000 to be
paid annually in two payments. A payment of $5,000 shall be made in
January of each year to each recognized Fire Company. Another payment
of $5,000 shall be made to each recognized Fire Company when the city
budget is finalized and passed by the Council. The payment of $10,000
to each recognized Fire Company each year shall be made by way of
aid to recognized Fire Companies for purposes of the purchase of fire
equipment, materials and supplies and other fire-fighting purposes
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-34. Said payment shall be made in lieu
of other payments or reimbursements of expenses previously made to
said recognized Fire Companies, except that nothing herein shall be
considered to restrict the effect of existing court orders on the
subject.
