The City of Somers Point Sewer Utility shall establish other rules and regulations in addition to the above as necessary and required in order to facilitate the effective operation of the Sewer Utility.
A. 
At this time the City has readopted the rules and regulations entitled "Rules and Regulations of the Somers Point City Sewerage Authority" and adopted by the Authority in May 1984. A copy of these rules and regulations are on file in the City Clerk’s office.

B. 
Chapter VIII of the Rules and Regulations of the Somers Point Sewerage Authority are amended to add Item (L) titled, "Policies and Procedures for Grease Traps, Interceptors and other Pretreatment Devices."

C. 
The Somers Point Sewer Utility, through the General Supervisor of Public Works or his/her designee, shall have the authority to regularly inspect all grease, oil and sand interceptors. The results of the inspections shall be furnished to the Construction Official and Plumbing Subcode Official for code enforcement.

(1) 
All grease, oil and sand interceptors shall be maintained by the owner at his expense in continuous efficient operation at all times.
(2) 
It is the responsibility of the establishment owner, lessee or assignee to carry out all of the proceedings necessary to have any and all grease trap interceptors opened and ready for inspection and to see that the equipment is put back in proper operation after the inspection.
(3) 
Forms for the periodic inspections will be furnished by the owner, lessee or assignee and posted as close as possible to the interceptor to which it applies. The form shall also be protected from soiling.
