A. 
Every owner or tenant of lands lying within the Township adjoining a roadway, not within the road right-of-way and/or sight easement, is prohibited from installing any obstructions, including but not limited to a fence, wall, sign or piles of soil, higher than 2 1/2 feet above the near edge of any traveled portion of any adjacent roadway, or any physical or visual obstruction within 10 feet of any roadway or within 25 feet of the intersection of two roadways.
B. 
Every owner or tenant of lands, lying within the Township, which land is within a road right-of-way and/or a sight easement, is prohibited from installing any obstructions of any kind within the road right-of-way and/or sight easement.
A. 
Any obstructions in existence at the time of adoption of this article which may require repair or replacement of 50% or more shall be considered new construction and, as such, shall not be permitted.
B. 
Any obstruction in existence at the time of adoption of this article which is declared a safety hazard by the Chief of Police or his designee must be removed with 30 days of notification to the owner or tenant of the affected lands.
C. 
Any obstruction within a road right-of-way and/or sight easement must be removed within 30 days of notification to the owner or tenant of the affected lands.
This article shall not apply to signs, such as traffic signs, installed by the state, county or Township or newspaper and mailboxes on standard posts.
