This article shall be known and may be cited
as the "Refuse Control Ordinance."
The purpose of this article is to regulate the
transportation and storage of refuse, rubbish, garbage and ashes within
the municipal limits of the Borough of Moosic.
From and after the effective date of this article,
no person(s) shall keep or store, or cause to be kept or stored, refuse,
rubbish, garbage and ashes in any trucks, trailers, motor vehicles,
or transfer stations in or on any street, sidewalk or any lands within
the corporate limits of the Borough of Moosic for a period exceeding
one hour, except that refuse collectors making normal collection rounds
on established routes within the municipal limits of the Borough of
Moosic shall not store or keep refuse, rubbish, garbage and ashes
in trucks, trailers or motor vehicles as aforesaid for a period exceeding
one hour after completion of their normal collection rounds.
Any person who violates any of the provisions
of the above sections and cite them shall be subject to a fine or
penalty not to exceed $1,000, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default
of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment not to exceed 30
days for each offense.
