In order to protect the foreshores and shellfish in the Town of Dennis, no person shall dredge any fill from any tidal waters in said town nor shall any person remove, fill or dredge meadow bank or marsh without first, if it is required by the Select Board, installing suitable bulkheads or bank or any other protective methods, as the Select Board may deem necessary, after first obtaining a permit so to do from the Select Board, who shall hold a public hearing.
The applicant, if the Select Board shall require, shall furnish the Select Board, prior to the hearing, proper plans and specifications drawn by a qualified engineer and/or a qualified land surveyor showing the area, mean high- and low-water lines and abutting owners.
