The City Council shall adopt a Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.[1]

Editor's Note: The Records Retention and Disposition Schedule is on file in the City offices and available for inspection during regular office hours.
The City of Glenarden shall follow the disposition guidelines:
A. 
Only those records will be disposed of that are described in Records Retention and Disposition Schedule after they have met the minimum retention period prescribed therein.
B. 
Only those records will be disposed of that do not have sufficient administrative, fiscal, legal or historical value to merit retention beyond established time periods.
C. 
Vital records having fiscal, legal or historical value will be archived.
The records will be sent through the Department of General Services and then to Maryland State Archives for storage.
