[Adopted 1-3-1978 by Ord. No. 1-78]
All provisions of existing ordinances identifying
this municipality as a borough are hereby amended to the extent required
to identify the same as a municipality, and all provisions of existing
ordinances mentioning the "Borough Council" in reference thereto are
hereby amended to the extent required to identify the same as the
"Council" in reference thereto.
To the extent that the same may be held to be
required by statute, all existing board, authority or commission members
are hereby reappointed to fill the balance of their terms of office
as previously lawfully appointed, and the employment, benefits and
wages and employment capacities of all existing employees of this
municipality are hereby ratified in their current form.
The volunteer fire companies now in existence
and Murrysville Medic No. 1 are hereby recognized as the official
companies of this municipality.
The Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to notify, as may be required, any and all local, state and/or federal
agencies of the transformation of the form of government of this municipality
into a home rule municipality.
