The office of Zoning Officer is hereby created by the Township of Nether Providence.
The Zoning Officer shall be appointed for an indefinite term by resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Township. The Zoning Officer shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners, and he may be removed at any time.
The compensation of the Zoning Officer shall be as fixed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners.
The Zoning Officer shall administer the Zoning Ordinance[1] of the Township in accordance with its literal terms and shall not have the power to permit any construction or any use or change of use which does not conform to the Township Zoning Ordinance. He shall perform the duties specified by the Board of Commissioners of the township and imposed on him by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 of 1968).[2]
