The Nether Providence Township Board of Commissioners
will become the body which initially analyzes any request for increases
in the Basic Tier under the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
Regulations and performs the necessary investigatory work with the
assistance of whatever professional counsel may be required, and the
authority to regulate shall be vested in the Township Board of Commissioners
and administered through the Township Manager or his designee in order
to provide day-to-day administration and enforcement of FCC provisions
relative to any franchise granted and to carry out the township's
responsibilities with regard to cable communications.
The Township, as a local franchising authority,
will follow the rate regulations promulgated by the FCC.
