Dedication to Township. Upon completion of construction
in accordance with approved plans and specifications and approval
of the Township Engineer, a deed for the sewer prepared by the Township
Solicitor shall be presented to the Township Manager, together with
a certificate of payment of labor and material costs from the contractor
and a receipt for inspection charges.
B.Â
Acceptance by Township. Acceptance of the deed of
dedication for recording shall constitute acceptance of the sanitary
sewer by the Township.

Acceptance by ordinance necessary. The Township shall
have no responsibility of any kind with respect to any street, accessway,
crosswalk, alley, storm sewer or watercourse, notwithstanding the
use of the same by the public, unless the improvements are accepted
by ordinance or resolution of the Township Commissioners.

Conditions of acceptance. The issuance of a building
permit shall not impose upon the Township any obligation to take over
and make public any of the work covered thereby as a public improvement
for any purpose whatever unless the following conditions have been
complied with:
(1)Â
The required improvements, utility mains and laterals
and monuments shown on approved plans have been installed and have
been brought up to the standards of the Township as approved by the
Township Engineer prior to acceptance.
(2)Â
It is established to the satisfaction of the Township
Commissioners that there is a need for the improvement to be taken
over and made public.
(3)Â
A petition signed by the owners of at least 50% of
the frontage of the street in question is filed with the Township
Manager.
