A Housing Code Review Committee is hereby established.

All members of the Housing Code Review Committee shall be appointed by the Borough Council. The Committee shall consist of one general contractor, one building tradesman, one homeowner, one realtor, the Borough Building Inspector and the Borough Planner. Persons living in the Borough of Norristown or persons practicing their trades or professions in the Borough of Norristown should be appointed to this Committee. Professional or vocational representatives on the Committee shall have at least five years' experience in their trades or professions prior to their appointment to this Committee.
It shall be the duty of the Housing Code Review Committee to meet at least once a year to review the Borough Housing Code and related ordinances and, after such review, to make appropriate recommendation to the Borough Council for any changes deemed appropriate in the Housing Code or related ordinances by the Housing Code Review Committee.

The Housing Code Review Committee members who are not Borough employees shall be paid $100 annually as members of this Committee.
