GENERAL REFERENCES
Peace and good order — See Ch. 151.
In this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
A person under the age of 18 years.
Includes natural parents, stepparents, grandparents or guardians.
Any public street, sidewalk, highway, road, alley, public
building or vacant lot.
A.
No minor person not accompanied by a parent or on the lawful and
necessary business of such parent may be on or remain upon any public
place in the Borough of Ridley Park between 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.,
prevailing time, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday
or between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., prevailing time, on Friday and
Saturday.
B.
As a warning, a whistle or siren to be known as a "curfew whistle"
shall be sounded 15 minutes before each curfew time as hereinabove
set forth.
The provisions of this chapter shall not be enforced within
1/2 hour of the termination of an athletic contest or social event
sponsored by school authorities, a religious institution or a Borough
civic association.

Any minor person who shall violate any provision of this chapter
shall be fined not less than $10 nor more than $600, together with
the costs of prosecution. Upon default of payment of fine and costs,
said minor person shall be imprisoned for a period not to exceed 30
days.

Any parent who knowingly permits such minor to violate any provision
of this chapter shall be fined not less than $10 nor more than $600,
together with the costs of prosecution, and in default of payment
thereof, be imprisoned for a period not to exceed 30 days.
