The purpose of this chapter is to protect the health, safety, morals and welfare of the citizens of the Borough of Ridley Park by prohibiting the storage of abandoned, wrecked, junked or stripped motor vehicles, trucks and other vehicles on private property, since the storage of the same is detrimental to the health, safety, morals and welfare of the citizens of the Borough of Ridley Park.
It shall be unlawful to park, store or leave any motor vehicle, truck or other vehicle in a wrecked, junked, stripped or abandoned condition in a place where its presence constitutes a hazard to the citizens of the Borough or for the owner of such motor vehicle, truck or other vehicle or the owners or occupiers of any property to allow, permit or suffer the same to be left upon any privately owned property unless the same is authorized in conjunction with a business properly operated pursuant to the zoning laws of the Borough of Ridley Park.
The owner of any such motor vehicles, trucks or other vehicles or the owners or occupiers of any property on which such motor vehicles, trucks or other vehicles are parked, stored or left shall remove the same within 10 days after notice given by personal service or certified mail.

Any person who shall violate any section of this chapter shall, upon conviction before any District Justice, pay a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $600 and costs of prosecution or, in default thereof, undergo imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days. Each day's failure to comply with this chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
