From and after the effective date of Ordinance
No. 49,[1] the accounts of Rostraver Township shall be audited by
an independent auditor who shall be a certified public accountant,
registered in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants
so registered, or a competent public accountant or a competent firm
of public accountants.

The independent auditor shall be appointed annually,
by resolution, at least 30 days prior to the close of the fiscal year
to make an independent examination of all the accounts and accounting
records of the Township for the year then closing. The compensation
of the independent auditor shall be fixed in that resolution.
The office of elected auditor shall be abolished
from and after the adoption of the resolution appointing the first
independent auditor for the Township.
