[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of South Fayette at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I). Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES

The accounts of the Township of South Fayette shall be audited by an independent auditor, who shall be a certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or a competent public accountant or a competent firm of public accountants.

An independent auditor shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, annually, by resolution, before the close of the fiscal year, to make an independent examination of all accounts and accounting records of the township for the fiscal year then closing. Said appointment shall be made at least 30 days prior to the close of the fiscal year.
Such independent auditor shall have and possess all the powers and perform all the duties provided in the First Class Township Code[1] for elected Auditors.

Upon appointment of an independent auditor by the Board of Commissioners of South Fayette Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, the office of elected Auditor is hereby abolished.
