Realty transfer tax — See Ch. 149, Art. II.
There is hereby established a real estate registry to maintain accurate information regarding the ownership of all kinds of real estate located in Upper Merion Township.

A. 
It shall be the duty of all grantees hereafter acquiring title to real estate, including condominiums, in Upper Merion Township, whether by purchase, devise, partition or any other manner whatsoever, within one month after the date of acquiring title, to register the deed or instrument of title with the Recorder of Deeds in and for Montgomery County.
B. 
Each private dwelling or living unit transferred after January 1, 2006, in accordance with Chapter 130, Real Estate Registry, of the Upper Merion Township Code, shall pay a quarterly sewer rental fee of $52.

Any grantee violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a summary offense and shall be punishable for each offense as set forth in Art. III, General Penalty Provisions, of Ch. 1, General Provisions, provided that each day's continuance of the violation after notification thereof shall constitute a separate offense.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding pending in any court or any rights acquired or liability incurred or any permit issued or any cause or causes of action existing prior to the adoption date of this chapter.
