A.Â
The Department of Public Works shall be headed by
the Director of Public Works, appointed by and responsible to the
Township Manager for the performance and function of the Department.
B.Â
The Department of Public Works shall be responsible
for:
(1)Â
Construction and maintenance of streets, bridges,
curbs, gutters and storm sewers of the Township, including the provision
of street cleaning, leaf removal, snow removal and ice control.
(2)Â
Operational efficiency of all Township automotive
and construction equipment.
(3)Â
Maintenance of the sanitary sewer structures, facilities
and appurtenances and the operation of a sewage treatment plant.
(4)Â
Maintenance of all buildings, parks and open space
owned by the Township.
