Township of Willistown, PA Article VI One- and Two-Family Dwellings

§ 72-12 Standards adopted by reference.

The One- and Two-Family Dwelling Code of Willistown Township previously adopted, being the CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code/1983, as supplemented and amended by the CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code 1984 and 1985 Amendments, is hereby amended to adopt the changes made by the promulgating agency thereof, the Council of American Building Officials, in the 1992 Edition of the CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code, so that, from and after the effective date of this chapter, the One- and Two-Family Dwelling Code of Willistown Township shall be the CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1992 Edition, together with the supplements and amendments as hereinafter set forth in § 72-13 of this chapter.

§ 72-13 Additions, amendments and deletions.

The CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1992 Edition, is hereby further supplemented and amended as follows:

A. Section R-101 is hereby amended by deleting that section in its entirety and substituting therefor the following:

	SECTION R-101 TITLE
	The provisions set forth herein shall be known as the "One- and Two-Family Dwelling Code of Willistown Township," may be cited as such and herein referred to as "this code."

B. Section R-106.3 concerning penalties is deleted in its entirety and in place thereof it is hereby substituted with the following:

R-106.3 Penalty: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this code, in addition to any other remedy available under law or equity, shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 for each offense, together with the costs of prosecution, which fine may be collected by suit or summary proceeding brought in the name of the Township before any District Justice. Every day that a violation of this code continues shall constitute a separate offense. All fines and penalties collected for the violation of this code shall be paid over to the Township treasury. Upon judgment against any person by summary conviction or by proceedings by summons on default of the payment of the fine or penalty imposed and the costs, the defendant may be sentenced and committed to the Township lockup for a period not exceeding five days or to the county jail or workhouse for period not exceeding 30 days.

C. Section R-209.2 concerning fire separators for an attached garage is hereby amended by adding an additional subsection to read as follows:

R-209.2.1 Fire partitions: Garages located beneath habitable rooms shall be separated from adjacent interior spaces by fire partitions and floor/ceiling assemblies which are constructed of not less than a one-hour fire resistance rating. Door opening protectives in one-hour fire partitions shall be 13/4 inches solid core wood or 13/4 solid or honeycomb-core steel door.
