The Deputy Comptroller shall be appointed by the Comptroller for a term to be concurrent with the Comptroller's and shall have such powers and duties as prescribed by the Comptroller and shall assist the Comptroller in the performance of his or her duties, and if and when the Comptroller is unable to perform the duties of his or her office for any other reason, such Deputy Comptroller shall have full authority to perform all the duties of the Comptroller, at such salary as may from time to time be fixed by the Town Board.
