GENERAL REFERENCES
Shellfishing vessels — See Ch. 126, § 126-12.
No person shall dig into or upon any public shore or beach in the Village of Mill Neck for or catch or take therein any of that species of shellfish which is commonly known as a "soft clam," which measures less than two inches in length or catch or take more than two quarts thereof at any time between the first day of April and the next succeeding 31st day of October, inclusive, in any year, or more than 1/2 bushel thereof at any time between the first day of November and the next succeeding 31st of March.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this chapter shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
