The Town Manager shall appoint a Conservation Commission in accordance
with §§ 7-131A and 7-131B of the 1961 Supplement to the Connecticut
General Statutes for the development and conservation of natural resources,
including resources within its territorial limits.
Said Commission shall consist of seven members, and the terms of office
shall be for three years, except that two shall serve one year from their
date of appointment, two for two years from their date of appointment and
three for three years from their date of appointment.
A.
All expired terms shall be filled by appointment for full three-year
terms.
B.
The Commission shall also include two alternate members who shall
be appointed by the Town Manager. Of the two alternate members first appointed
to office, one shall be appointed to serve for one year, and one shall be
appointed to serve for two years. Thereafter, appointments of alternate members
to the Commission shall be for terms of three years.
