This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Town of Mansfield Park Ordinance."
All persons using lands designated by the Council as town parks shall comply with regulations adopted pursuant to this chapter.
The Council of the Town of Mansfield is hereby authorized from time to time to adopt such regulations as it deems fitting, necessary or proper to regulate the maintenance of order, safety and sanitation in areas designated as town parks, and also to regulate the use of said parks for the protection of trees, plants, flowers, wildlife and for the protection of other property, and for the protection of natural beauty in such parks. Such regulations or amendments shall become effective only after a public hearing has been held thereon by said Town Council prior to adoption. Notice of such hearing shall be published in a newspaper having a circulation within said Town of Mansfield at least ten (10) days in advance of such hearing. Said regulations, and amendments thereto, shall become effective at such time as they are filed with the Town Clerk of the Town of Mansfield, and notice of the decision adopting said regulations, or amendments thereto, has been published in a newspaper having a circulation within said Town of Mansfield.
Any person violating any of the terms of this chapter, or any regulation established pursuant to the terms of this chapter, shall be guilty of an infraction for each day that such violation continues.
