From and after the passage of this Part 1 it shall be unlawful for anyone to plant any shade trees along the curbline of any street or alley, but all trees hereafter planted along any street or alley shall be planted on the inside of the sidewalk line of such streets or alleys.

It shall be the duty of every owner of real estate in the Borough of Royersford to trim all trees growing upon property or along any street, alley or sidewalk abutting thereon so that:
1. 
There shall be at least 12 feet clearance above the street or alley and at least 10 feet clearance above the sidewalks to the lowest limb or branch or every such tree; and
2. 
So that no limb or branch of such tree shall interfere with streetlight or with any wire. In addition, it shall be the duty of every owner of real estate in the Borough of Royersford to promptly remove all dead trees, tree limbs and shrubs and dispose of such dead trees, tree limbs and shrubs.

Upon failure of any owner, for a period of 10 days after notice from the Borough upon him personally or by certified mail, to so trim any tree as provided in § 102 hereof, the Borough may cause such tree to be trimmed at the expense of the Borough and thereupon the Borough shall proceed to recover such expenses from such owner as debts of like amount are by law recoverable, together with applicable interests, costs and penalties.

Any owner of real estate who shall violate any provision of this Part 1 shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
