The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the enforcement of parking
restrictions within the village through the issuance of tickets by full- or
part-time village employees who are authorized by the Board of Trustees to
issue such tickets.

The Mayor of the Village of Great Neck Plaza is hereby authorized to
hire up to a maximum of six full- and/or part-time village employees who shall
be "designated parking meter attendants." Said parking meter attendants shall
be authorized to issue tickets to enforce all parking restrictions imposed
by the village including, but not limited to, those parking restrictions in
effect for the village streets, village parking lots and village garages.
Pursuant to Criminal Procedure Law § 150.20, parking meter attendants
are hereby authorized to issue appearance tickets for any violations of the
Code of the Village of Great Neck Plaza.
