of the 1993 Code)]
The position of Deputy Municipal Clerk of the
Township of Hazlet is hereby created in and for the Township of Hazlet.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall possess the
qualifications set forth for the Township Clerk and such other qualifications
as may be required by law.
A.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be appointed by a
majority vote of the Township Committee in accordance with the provisions
of Title 11 of the Revised Statutes of the State of New Jersey.
B.
Any vacancy in the position of Deputy Municipal Clerk
shall be filled by appointment of the Township Committee.
C.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall receive such salary
as shall be prescribed by the Salary Ordinance of the Township, as
the same may be amended from time to time.[1]

The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall perform the
duties of the Township Clerk in his or her absence or disability and
such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to the Deputy
Municipal Clerk by the Township Clerk or the Township Committee from
time to time.[1]
