A. 
Salaries shall be paid biweekly, with the close of pay as of Saturday, for all full-time employees and the following part-time employees:
(1) 
Deputy Tax Collector.
(2) 
Ethics Board Secretary.
(3) 
Construction Code Official.
(4) 
Control Person, Construction Office.
(5) 
Electrical Subcode Official.
(6) 
Secretary to Welfare Board.
(7) 
Recycling attendants.
(8) 
Emergency Management Coordinator.
(9) 
Board of Health Secretary.
(10) 
Registrar of Vital Statistics.
(11) 
Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics.
(12) 
Deputy Court Administrator.[1]

B. 
The following employees shall be paid monthly:
(1) 
Assessor.
(2) 
Municipal Judge.
(3) 
Zoning Board Secretary.
(4) 
Planning Board Secretary.
(5) 
Crossing Guards.
(6) 
Sanitarian-Plumbing Subcode Official.
(7) 
Special police officers.
(8) 
Land Use Act Administrator.
(9) 
Zoning Review Officer.
(10) 
Zoning Enforcement Officer.
(11) 
Fire Subcode Official.
(12) 
Fire Official.
(13) 
Welfare Director.
(14) 
Property Maintenance Officer.
(15) 
Road Kill Person.
C. 
The following elected and appointed officials shall be paid quarterly:
(1) 
Mayor and Council.
(2) 
Borough Attorney.
D. 
The following employees shall be paid yearly: Detective.
E. 
The Election Official shall be paid following the Primary and General Election.
F. 
Extra meetings. Secretaries of boards shall be paid upon submission of voucher.
G. 
Fire Inspectors: yearly, upon submission of voucher.
All extra help for any department in the Borough Hall shall be approved by the Mayor and Council before such help is hired. The rate of pay and method to be paid to such extra help shall be determined by the Mayor and Council at the time of such approval. In the event of an emergency, a person may be temporarily hired as extra help, subject to subsequent action of the Mayor and Council.
A longevity plan is hereby established for the benefit of all full-time employees on a cumulative basis having the designated minimum years of service as follows:
A. 
There shall be added to and made a part of the remuneration to each full-time employee an amount equal to:
(1) 
Two percent of the salary fixed for each such person upon the completion of four years of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon.
(2) 
Four percent of the salary fixed for each such person upon the completion of eight years of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon.
(3) 
Six percent of the salary fixed for each such person upon the completion of 12 years of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon.
(4) 
Eight percent of the salary fixed for each such person upon the completion of 16 years of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon.
(5) 
Ten percent of the salary fixed for each such person upon the completion of 20 years of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon.
(6) 
Twelve percent of the salary fixed for each such person upon the completion of 23 years of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon.

B. 
In computing such periods of cumulative service in and for the Borough of North Haledon, credit for an entire year shall be given to any such employee who shall have served six months or more during his/her first calendar year of employment, and no credit shall be given to such employee for such service during his/her first calendar year of employment if he/she shall have served less than six months during such first calendar year of employment.
C. 
Longevity will not be applied to a merit raise in the year said merit raise is awarded.

Such deductions as may be required by law shall be made from salaries, compensation and fees.
