[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cooperstown 2-20-2001 by L.L. No. 1-2001. Amendments noted where applicable.]
No vessel shall be operated within 200 feet of the shore line of Otsego Lake, a dock, pier, raft or float or an anchored or moored vessel at a speed exceeding five miles per hour, unless such vessel is being operated near such shore line, dock, float, pier or anchored vessel for the purpose of enabling a person engaged in water skiing to take off or land. A violation of this section shall constitute an offense punishable by a fine not to exceed $50.

A. 
It shall be illegal for any person to launch a boat into Lake Otsego at either of the Village launch sites at Fair Street or Fish Road during the period set by the Village Board of Trustees when an attendant is present:
(1) 
Without submitting the boat and trailer for inspection for aquatic nuisance species, including zebra mussels;
(2) 
Without having the boat and trailer washed, if so required by the attendant; and
(3) 
Without paying the launch fee as set by the Village Board of Trustees.
B. 
Violations shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.
