The Borough of Mars shall join and associate in the creation of the Southwest Butler County Regional Planning Commission in conformity with the aforementioned state statutes as now or hereafter amended.[1]

The Borough of Mars shall appropriate public funds for the operation of the Southwest Butler County Regional Planning Commission in the amount of $358 for each of the years 1962 and 1963 and, for subsequent years, in an amount as the governing body shall approve, which is determined to be the cost of operating the Regional Planning Commission and accomplishing the planning objectives of the participating municipalities.

The Borough of Mars appoints Ellsworth R. Davison as representative to the Southwest Butler County Regional Planning Commission for a term expiring January 31, 1953.
The Borough of Mars appoints Thomas Smink as alternate to the Southwest Butler County Regional Planning Commission for a term expiring January 31, 1964.
The Borough of Mars authorizes the Executive Officer of the Borough of Mars to execute the Articles of Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,[1] and directs the Secretary to duly attest the signature, place the corporate seal thereof, and forward a certified copy of this article to the Secretary of the Southwest Butler County Regional Planning Commission.

A Planning Commission consisting of five members is hereby created and established for Mars Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, pursuant to the provisions of Article II, Section 201, of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, 53 P.S. § 10201, as established by the Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended and reenacted.
The Planning Commission shall be comprised of five members who shall be appointed for terms of office of four years, except that the terms of office for three of the original members shall be fixed at one year, two years and three years, respectively, and the terms of office for two of the original members shall be fixed at four years, to be established on a series of overlapping terms with one term expiring each year, except for one year in which two terms shall expire.
The Planning Commission shall have all the powers and duties conferred and imposed upon it as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, established by the Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, 53 P.S. § 10101 et seq., as amended and reenacted.
