A. 
Bicycles are prohibited on the boardwalk of the Town and the approaches thereto between May 15 and September 30, inclusive, of each year, except between the hours of 6:00 a.m., prevailing time, and 9:00 a.m., prevailing time. Bicycles are prohibited on the sidewalks at all times.

B. 
Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to bicycles operated by Bethany Beach police personnel acting in an official capacity.

Small self-propelled vehicles used by the handicapped (e.g., wheelchairs or tri-peds) may be operated at all times on the sidewalks, streets, boardwalk and approaches thereto, subject to other applicable Town ordinances and state statutes.
Motor vehicles are prohibited on the boardwalk and the approaches thereto at all times, provided that this chapter shall not apply to authorized Town vehicles.
The boardwalk is also subject to the restrictions and regulations set forth in Chapter 223, Beach, of the Code of Bethany Beach.

Any person hereafter found guilty of violation this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subjected to a fine as set out in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I, Penalties, for each offense.
